General Assembly 2024 to take place

The 2024 United Reformed Church (Ã山ǿ¼é) General Assembly takes place from 12-15 July at The Hayes Conference Centre in Swanwick.

The General Assembly meets annually to celebrate, discuss, worship and make decisions about the life and work of the Ã山ǿ¼é.Ìý It is the Church’s highest decision-making body.

Items on the agenda include Safer Recruitment and the expectations for local churches for the various categories of lay preachers when inviting preachers to occupy their pulpit; a progress review of the Ã山ǿ¼é’s Environmental Policy; Local Mission & Ministry Review; an update on the Church Life Review; a possible fund to cover the operational and project costs of our Legacies of Slavery Work; The Gaza Crisis; and the induction of the Moderator of the General Assembly 2024-2025.
